DASAN Networks’ V5848/V5824 ADSL2+ IP-DSLAM is designed for space constrained low-density location to deliver full features of ADSL2+ service, 24/1M down/up rate, to remote residential, multi-dwelling unit and business customers. With the compact unit architecture, V5848/V5824 can be deployed in small remote central offices providing the best port performance through existing telephone infrastructure.

V5848/V5824 ADSL2+ IP-DSLAM in an Ethernet / IP DSLAM that consolidates multiple standard ADSL2+ lines into one or two Ethernet uplink interfaces towards the metropolitan area. The ATM layer is terminated on the subscriber side and translated to Ethernet to be transported through an Ethernet/IP environment. The multiple PVCs are usually mapped into one or more VLAN IDs and forwarded to the right destination with the appropriate CoS.

The Single board DSLAM is a cost optimized solution, designed to offer 48/24 ADSL ports including integrated splitters. The integration of all components including the splitters for ADSL services into a compact sub-rack makes the single board DSLAM the optimal solution for small locations. The connectors for a/b wiring towards the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) for the combined NB+BB signal (subscriber) on the one hand and the NB signal going to the NB switching equipment on the other are located at the front side of the equipment.
